As most of my friends know, I'm corny, nerdy and probably love any excuse for a dinner party more than anyone else on the planet.
A few months ago, maybe even a year ago, my girlfriends decided to start a Book Club. I LOVE book club. :)
We've read maybe 4 books within this year including Hunger Games Trilogy, 50 Shades Trilogy, Castaways, and our latest was ROOM by Emma Donoghue.
5 of us made the meeting and we had enough food for 50 people. My friend Becky, Brenna, Julie and Val came over and we ate as much as we could, but probably filled 10 ziploc bags with leftovers.
Fortunately 3 people brought healthy foods of cheeses, salads and fruits (which were delicious I might add).
I on the other hand made:
At least the mozzarella sticks were "skinny baked" :) And these were the factory pics. My renditions veered slightly from the above pics. hahaha
My friend Julie also brought
Which were delicious and looked exactly like the above pic. I'll have to figure out how she can do that.
Bet you all wish you had attended now!
I love cooking. I love baking. I love dinner parties. :) Only thing that was missing was the wine. I had some available, but beings that 60% of the attendees are pregnant, it wasn't enjoyed. Which is sad, but give us about 8 more months and we'll be right back on that train I'm sure.
:) Until Next Book Club Meeting
