18 Days Old

Age: 18 days old
Weight & Height: At my 2 week appointment I was 21.5 inches long and 8 lbs. 9 oz.  Since it has been 4 days since that appointment, I have been eating like a champ and hopefully gaining more weight!
Things I enjoy: Being held and sleeping during the day. I also love nursing with mommy and want to do it all the time! Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can take some more walks.
Skills I've mastered: Crying when I want something, because mommy and daddy both pick me up right away anytime I get upset.
Tough Times: Nights are tough.  True we've had some good ones, but I'm not going down or staying down for mommy a lot of the time.  We're all thinking positive though and know it won't last forever.
Exciting Events: I've had lots of visitors.  All my Aunts and Uncles have now met me except Uncle Scott, but we are waiting patiently for the introduction.  I've also met all my cousins except for Savannah.  Hopefully that will happen soon since all my other cousins are boys.  Ready for Girl Time!
Looking forward to: Growing more and sleeping through the night more!

Emma Jean Moher

So, I'm back :)  Probably not as back as I want to be and won't be posting as often for a while, but wanted to share some pics of the babe.

Emma Jean Moher was born at 8:44am on Friday morning, April 12th, 2013. We got induced on Thursday night and ended up having a c-section the next morning.  Baby and mommy didn't like the pitocin too much. Baby's heart rate when pretty low and mommy's blood pressure dropped to about 80/50 at one point.

The doctors were AMAZING! from start to finish I don't know how I could have done it without as much support as I got.

Grammy Smith was there when baby was born and daddy was first to hold her.

I'll be sharing more later, but here are a few pics....

38 Weeks

How far along? 38 Weeks and 2 days

Total weight gain: 46 lbs. - I'll get remeasured at my appointment this afternoon

Maternity clothes? Yes

Stretch marks? I'll just answer that with a YES - I'll add more on that after the update.

Sleep: Awful, but with a humidifier it's bearable

Miss Anything? Wine, beer, Sleeping on my back/stomach, running

Movement: Lots

Food cravings: It's kind of funny, if I mention a food I all of the sudden crave it. We were leaving church on Sunday and I said BLT, then all I wanted was a BLT.  So DH and I went to the store, got the stuff, and they were DELISH!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not these days (knock on wood)

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: None

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, swollen feet, frequent peeing, PUPPPs

Belly Button in or out? Popping out a tiny bit

Wedding rings on or off? Off, it's just more comfortable

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy Today!

Looking forward to: Holding my baby girl and telling her how much I love her in person.

So I have an appt. at 3pm today.  I had a breakdown after last week's appointment when there was no progress.  Honestly,  she doesn't feel like she's dropped at all and I don't really feel much different, so my hopes are not really "up".  I am definitely going to tell the doctor I may scratch all my skin off. This rash has now moved to my hands, legs, arms, etc.  It's torture!  And I can only wear sandals or my sneakers, because my feet are so swollen.  I'm wearing my sneakers right now, but they aren't even tied :)

DH and I are still taking daily long walks.  It's sooo nice now that the weather is warmer. I hope it stays this way!

Keep your fingers crossed!

Patience is not a virtue I possess

Just got back from my 37 weeks appointment.

First I'd like to say I saw a new doctor today and I hated him. :)  Just all business.

Anyway, baby is still high and still not dilated.  I might as well get used to the fact she probably won't be here until the 28th - 1 week AFTER my original due date.

So no more "only teens left".  I HAVE 24 DAYS LEFT! 24 days may not seem like a lot, but I question my ability to make it.

Random Things I Love

These days the things I love are definitely different from the things I used to love.

Here are some of my favorite things that keep me "busy" these days and things I just enjoy.

  • My new favorite youtube channel - The SACCONEJOLYs
  • My favorite wedding photographer/website (you never become unobsessed with weddings) - Leeann Marie
  • Game of Thrones
  • Smoothies! - Darn you McDonalds for having your smoothie machine broken the last 2 times I tried to get one at your establishment!  1 more strike and you're out.
  • My favorite Blog - The Great Adventures of Big G, Middle G, and Little G - not only do I read her blog, but I also read most of the blogs she follows :)
  • Animoto - It speaks for itself
  • Daydreaming about Emma (it does take up about 80% of every day)
  • GiftcardRescue - We are planning on buying some patio furniture (which isn't cheap) and can always find 20% gift cards.  I've bought 5 already, all 20% off, to Pier 1, where Chris and I picked out a set we love.  2 have already come in the mail with no problems, just waiting for the other 3!
  • Wantable,co - Explained in previous blogs - Everyone loves mail :)
  • THE DAILY SCOOP - If you live in/near Glen Burnie, you owe it to yourself to go here!
Off to my 37 weeks appt!

We are Officially in the Teens!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 19 days until my original due date!!!!  Which means I better have this baby sooner than 19 days from now!

When I got into work this morning I took my entire desk area and moved it into the office next to me.  I'm going to need some privacy when I come back to work for when I pump, so it was a necessary evil at some point, but I just really got motivated to do it.  Could this be nesting?

Nesting at work? Why does that depress me? hahaha.

DH graciously vacuumed the entire house yesterday (all 3 floors) so now would be a perfect time for her arrival. We even decided to eat our first Let's Dish meal, we are ready - BOTH OF US!

Anyway,  this stupid rash is awful, because I can't even rub my belly like I used to or else a massive itchy/scratch session will emerge.  And sleep?  Don't even get me started.  Last night I went to bed sitting up, just to give my hips a break, lol.  That didn't last long.

I've been taking walk after walk after walk and bouncing on my ball for minutes on end. I pray that when I go to the doctor they will tell me I am progressing.

I went to the sandwich shop next door for chips yesterday and the guy behind the counter goes "how many minutes you got left?"  Assuming it couldn't be days as I am so big........idiot. haha Clever though.

She's still moving all around and it's so hard to explain that it's not that I hate being pregnant (although I am over it) I just WANT TO HOLD HER SO BAD!  IN MY ARMS, IN PERSON, Looking into her eyes. Loving and kissing her.  IT'S TORTURE!

Until next time.....

WANTABLE,CO

So, I told you about birchbox, now it's time to get to the good stuff.  https://www.wantable.co is the website.  After I found birchbox through another blog, I decided to search for subscription boxes, because they are fun and inexpensive.  I don't remember exactly how I found this one, but it got great reviews and very little negative comments.

I really like this one, because you take a beauty quiz and you can specifically say you don't want things, for example I wanted nothing to do with eyebrows. I barely keep mine manicured let alone using brushes and colors on them. I also vetoed blushes, because that is just not my thing.

So I sent away and this is what came in the mail about 2-3 weeks later...

True, box isn't as "cute" as birchbox box, but let's see what is inside....

After the cute thank you, they give you a card that tells you a little bit more about them.

They do also give you samples in addition to the full size makeup products you want.  This is a skincare line..

They also send you a thank you gift for subscribing

I assumed it would be either something I wouldn't use, or something I would use in a color I didn't like. I WAS WRONG!

Very cute!

So then they give you a sheet with everything that was included and a description about it and they give you style tips as well, which I find cute and helpful!

The main event!

I got:

1. Be a Bombshell - Eyeshadow - Color = Starstruck (Dark Purple)
2. Be a Bombshell - Mascara - Color = Onyx
3. Color Club - Nail Polish - Color = He Loves Me (pink)
4. Lavera - Organic Lip Gloss - Color = Almond Kiss
5. Cailyn Cosmetics - Liquid Eye Liner - Color = Black
6. Real Techniques - Kabuki Brush

So I decided to do a little research and see how much all this stuff retails for (they give you retail prices, but I like to find my own) I started on amazon, because I figured that would be the cheapest place to find most stuff first :

The whole box cost me $36
Retail:
1. $14.00  2. $15.00  3. $8.00  4. $18.95 5. $21.99 6. $9.98 TOTAL = $87.92  (60% DISCOUNT)

+ Free give $22.00 - New Total = $109.92 (68% Discount)

So yes, this was DEFINITELY WORTH IT.  And honestly even if you save a lot of money, if you don't like the products, than it sucks, but I love all the colors and truth be told, i've never used liquid eye liner before, but I tried it, and it was easy to use and I did like it.

I don't think I need this subscription for a whole year or anything, but lets just see what next month brings...

:)

FULL TERM - BABY MONTH!!!

IT IS OFFICIALLY BABY MONTH! One way or another she is coming out this month :) I am officially FULL TERM as well, according to everyone!

How far along? 37 Weeks

Total weight gain: 46 lbs.

Labor Signs: None

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, swollen feet, frequent peeing

Wedding rings on or off? Off, it's just more comfortable

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy Today!

Looking forward to: Holding my baby girl and telling her how much I love her in person.

So.... I think I have PUPPPS (pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy) Feel free to read more about it HERE. Why do I think I have this?  Well remember when I said my stomach was really itchy??  That is pretty much what PUPPPS is.  It can be caused by several things, 1 being a BIG BABY!  :)  It is of no harm to me or baby, it's just really itchy bumps that can spread.  Fortunately mine have not spread anywhere but my belly. Yes I did self diagnose from the internet, but baby girl is moving just as much as normal and I feel fine, so I'm not really thinking anything severe.  I'll talk to my doctor about it on Thursday.

My feet are officially just always swollen.  It's not painful or anything, just looks funny and semi embarrassing.  You know it's bad when your DH just comes over and says, "Why don't you let me give you a foot massage". HAHAHAHA!

He's been really really great though.  Saturday he took me out all over and we did everything I wanted to do.   We even stopped at a jewelry store to research some potential "push presents" :)  Then he took me to the casino where I got to play craps.  We were both debating if it was socially acceptable to go to a casino at 9 months, but who really cares?  What else am I supposed to do all day?

Easter dinner was really nice.  Just the two of us (and William).  We made a small ham, homemade scalloped potatoes, asparagus and kielbasa with red beet horseradish. I ate WAY TOO MUCH!  Not to mention dessert.  Edward's Salted Caramel Pie!  Do yourself a favor and never eat this, because once you eat 1 slice, you can't stop!!!! It's the best store bought pie I've ever tried.

I feel like I've been in eating overdrive these past few days.  In my last post I mentioned dinner with Lisa and Brian.  Well we went to this place in Columbia and Lisa was raving about the ribs, so I got them.  I think the ribs were almost the size of my entire side of the table.  They were AMAZING AND DELICIOUS, as well as the cole slaw I might add and the spinach and artichoke dip, and the chicken enchilada rolls we got as appetizers, haha!  I would highly recommend this place...http://www.thestanfordgrill.com/

As soon as I have time later, i'll be adding my second subscription box review.  Can't wait.

25 Weeks
