6 WEEKS

Age: 6 Weeks

Weight & Height: I haven't been weighed again since my last appointment, but mommy thinks I'm definitely still growing upward and outwards :) 

Things I enjoy: I love my vibrating chair and love being held all the time.  I love being in the car too, it puts me right to sleep whether i'm in there for 3 minutes or 3 hours. 

Skills I've mastered: I am getting much better at not spitting up after I eat.  I'm also getting better and better at holding my head up every day.  I've mastered an occasional smile to keep mommy and daddy making ridiculous faces at me all day to see how many times they can make the smile come.

Looking forward to: Smiling more and laughing.  Holding my head up all the time all by myself.

Tough Times: Nights aren't so tough anymore, because we're all used to it.  It's still hard sometimes to figure out why I'm so upset and that is the toughest for mommy.

Exciting Events: Memorial day was exciting, I got to go to the lake house for the first time.  It was freezing, but I got cuddled the whole time so I still loved it. I finally got to meet Uncle Scott and it was great :) I also got to meet all my great aunts and uncles on both sides of the family.  Everyone kissed and hugged me all day long.

Looking forward to: Seeing my older cousin Savannah again on Saturday and mommy's side of the family for Aunt Brook's Sprinkle :)  Also looking forward to giving Daddy his first father's day present soon.  I'm not sure what I'm gonna get him, but I'm sure he'll love it!

I'm the cutest!

1 Month!

Age: 1 month

Weight & Height: At my 1 month appointment I was 22 inches long and 10 lbs. 1 oz.  Mommy and the doctor were very happy with my weight gain. I am in the 75th percentile of both height and weight.

Things I enjoy: Being held and sleeping during the day. I love my vibrating bassinet. I like being on my tummy for small periods of time.

Skills I've mastered: Burping :) and I'm getting better at holding my head up.  I do it better when I'm on mommy's shoulder, but I also do it at tummy time.

Looking forward to: Smiling at mommy and daddy on purpose.

Tough Times: Nights are still tough, but getting better. I normally have one 3 to 4 hour stretch and then one 2 to 3 hour stretch.   Sometimes when I cry, mommy and daddy don't know why I'm upset and that is a tough time too.

Exciting Events: I got to spend a whole afternoon and evening with Grammy and grand pop smith while mom and dad went to a wedding.  Excited to see grand mom and grand pop Moher and meeting more family and seeing the lake house over Memorial Day!

Looking forward to: Growing more and sleeping through the night more and smiling

18 Days Old

Age: 18 days old

Weight & Height: At my 2 week appointment I was 21.5 inches long and 8 lbs. 9 oz.  Since it has been 4 days since that appointment, I have been eating like a champ and hopefully gaining more weight!

Things I enjoy: Being held and sleeping during the day. I also love nursing with mommy and want to do it all the time! Can't wait for the weather to get better so we can take some more walks.

Skills I've mastered: Crying when I want something, because mommy and daddy both pick me up right away anytime I get upset.

Tough Times: Nights are tough.  True we've had some good ones, but I'm not going down or staying down for mommy a lot of the time.  We're all thinking positive though and know it won't last forever.

Exciting Events: I've had lots of visitors.  All my Aunts and Uncles have now met me except Uncle Scott, but we are waiting patiently for the introduction.  I've also met all my cousins except for Savannah.  Hopefully that will happen soon since all my other cousins are boys.  Ready for Girl Time!

Looking forward to: Growing more and sleeping through the night more!

Emma Jean Moher

So, I'm back :)  Probably not as back as I want to be and won't be posting as often for a while, but wanted to share some pics of the babe.

Emma Jean Moher was born at 8:44am on Friday morning, April 12th, 2013. We got induced on Thursday night and ended up having a c-section the next morning.  Baby and mommy didn't like the pitocin too much. Baby's heart rate when pretty low and mommy's blood pressure dropped to about 80/50 at one point.

The doctors were AMAZING! from start to finish I don't know how I could have done it without as much support as I got.

Grammy Smith was there when baby was born and daddy was first to hold her.
