Cravings?

In honor of my lunch today, that I agree might have been odd, I decided to let you know a few things that have been DELICIOUS to me, but maybe not to "normal".

1. Today's lunch = Pasta Salad eaten with Scoops Tortilla Chips

2. Pit Beef and coleslaw sandwich

3. Lucky Charms and Captain Crunch mixed together.

4. Double Decker Sandwich of Peanut and Jelly and Peanut Butter and Fluff

5. Pickles and Chocolate milk - I've always loved that though.

6. Milk with anything, pizza, pasta, meat, veggies (LOVE MILK)

I think there are a few more oddities, but that is all my mind can remember right now.

:)

75 Days Left!

Here are some belly pics from week 29!!! Trying to get better at posting them :)

William was feeling a little left out of the blog so we wanted to join too!

I do love being pregnant, I love my belly, but it is easy to complain about the aches and pains (physically and emotionally) that come along with it.

I think the hardest part of pregnancy for me is the waiting.  I am NOT  a patient person and I'm pretty sure I even said that before in an earlier post.  It's not that I don't want to be pregnant anymore, I just wanna meet her!!!! :)

So glucose test is scheduled for Tuesday.  I'm over the dramatics and I'm sure it will be fine.  At least I'll have the rest of the day off!  Her ottoman arrived finally and now we are just waiting on the actual glider.  They say it should be in this weekend, but we'll see.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

Not Cool

So it happened....................

I failed my glucose test!!!!  Worst part = the cutoff is 135 and what do you think I got??? 135!

Don't worry I sat and cried in self pity yesterday, so today is a better day.  I just thought about how unfair it is and how I am going to refuse the 3 hour test because this is ridiculous, but then I realize I may not be thinking clearly.

If I was at the cutoff I "should" pass the 3 hour test and won't it be nice to say I legitimately passed rather than I refused? And if I don't pass, I guess there is a reason and I need to make sure baby girl is healthy.

The doctor herself called me yesterday, which I need to give the practice credit for.  How can you be mad when they take the time out of their day to personally call you instead of having a nurse who you never met do it.  The nurse is calling me today to schedule the appointment, but she said she wanted to give me the news.  I guess they get points for that. Needless to say I was not the nicest to her on the phone. I hope she understands.

It's also a little frustrating that all doctors have different limits. Just give us 1 universal limit so I can't go, "but I would have passed under this doctor's rules!"

Whatever, enough complaining for the day.  Worst part is I already used up my shopping therapy to take care of the fact that I ripped my favorite maternity jeans while pulling them up.  They are still wearable, but only with really long shirts (like I wear belly shirts these days).

Anyway, looks like I'm just going to have to suck this one up.  That wasn't happening yesterday, but today is a new day.  What can you do right? Positive thoughts bring positive results!

We'll see! :)

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 Weeks and 1 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 26 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Emma is still hitting them out of the park!
Sleep: Hit or Miss still, but overall I would say not too bad.
Other symptoms: The dark line down my belly isn't getting any lighter.  Rib Pain and just being uncomfortable sometimes :)
Best moment this week:  28 Week Appt. - Update on that below and also seeing Dan and Amanda's new house. It is awesome and it is very cool to think about how they designed pretty much everything from scratch. I loved it.
Movement: Yes! Lots.
Food cravings:  Smoothies, fruit
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not Really
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: I don't think so.
Belly Button in or out?  It is still in but getting A LOT flatter!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody: Happy!
Looking forward to: Getting the nursery more ready, need the glider and to hang shelves, baby shower still. MEETING EMMA! - Still the same

So,  last week was glucose test on Thursday (pray for me).  I got the fruit punch and had it in the fridge until ready to drink.  Honestly, it really wasn't that bad. I don't know what these people freak out about with the taste. I mean, it isn't something I would order, but it didn't make me want to gag at all.  So I tried to eat smart the day before and morning of.  I just had an eggwhite and cheese bagel for breakfast and fig newtons three hours before. They say to have toast and jelly, but I was not in my house, so that was the best I could do.  They took the test and it seems it is just a waiting game now.

28 week appt. was also on Thursday.  I was much happier with my weight gain than the last 2 weeks.  Now starts appointments every 2 weeks, so I have one for next Friday.  As she measured my belly she says, as they all have, "she's measuring pretty big".  I just laugh now. (in my head) So next week we are going to do an ultrasound, I think, to see just how big she is.  I'll keep you posted. Other than that the appt. was pretty regular. I asked about the pains.  Dr. said they might be contractions, but there is no way to know for sure and as long as they subside there is nothing to worry about.

CONTRACTIONS!!! ALREADY???!?!?!?1 I'M NOT READY FOR THAT!

Thursday to Friday I had my second to last work trip to New Hampshire.  The flight back was probably the most uncomfortable I have ever been.  When you sit down and the baby is not situated correctly normally you just get up and walk around until she moves, but when you are on a flight and you can't move you pretty much just have to breathe through it.  NOT FUN! 1 more trip to go on 2/11, then it's smooth sailing til April!!!! :)

OH yeah, Chris and I also went to Restaurant Week in Baltimore City. We went to B&O Brasserie. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. http://www.bandorestaurant.com/  We both oredered from the restaurant week menu and everything tasted amazing! I definitely want to go back.  The atmosphere was really nice too.

Until next time............

Random Things Contributing to my Good Mood

38 Days until Baby Shower - Excited to celebrate Emma's Upcoming Arrival with people I love!

82 Days Left til we meet EMMA

My DH has been "forcing" orange juice down my throat for the past 48 hours and, fingers crossed, this sickness may just not get any worse!

Went to bed last night at 7:30 pm and probably had one of the best nights of sleep in weeks. It did include getting up once or twice, but I still got like 8 to 9 hours of sleep!

I love coming into work before everyone and having my peaceful cup of delicious caramel vanilla coffee and getting more done in the first 1.5 hours than any other hour of work for the rest of the day and being able to check all my favorite blogs for updates.

I ALMOST FORGOT! - I officially noticed I am on someone else's blog update! This may sound stupid, but YAY FOR ME! Someone who has a blog, likes mine too!

I am happy to find other blogs where people's belly's are just as big as mine at the same exact gestational stage. You wonder if you are the biggest person in the world, but apparently I am not the 8th wonder of the world, I may just be normal.

I love the time right before I fall asleep that I think about what it will be like to have M&M here, hoping it'll seep into my dreams and I'll dream about her too! (it worked last night)

I love that being pregnant gives my corniness somewhat of a "pass" :)

That's it.......... :)

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 Weeks and 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 20 - 25 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? In the words of another blogger I would like to call them homeruns that Emma is hitting. Let's just say she is having a good game this week!
Sleep: Last night I slept pretty good. It's hit or miss.
Other symptoms: The dark line down my belly isn't getting any lighter.  I'm sick today. I was starting to feel sick yesterday and today it is worse.  If I don't feel better by tomorrow I'm taking a sick day from work. DH took good care of me last night filling me with orange juice (and ice cream) :)  Also last night I had my first experience with very sharp pains in my stomach.  After frantically looking at other blogs and online I unfortunately realized it is way too common to be concerned about.  Growing pains? Braxton Hicks? People say different things, but they aren't there this morning which is good.  I'll have to ask my Dr. about it on Thursday.
Best moment this week:  Even though I was DEAD TIRED afterwards, we had a party (as stated in my last blog) and it was a lot of fun. I also had an impromptu dinner with my mom and sister and that was a lot of fun as well. We laughed pretty much the whole time :)
Movement: Yes! Lots.
Food cravings:  Smoothies, fruit
Anything making you queasy or sick: Can gross baby stories count? I'm reading this book "Confessions of a  Scary Mommy" and some things I wish I would skip over, but it is a funny book.

Here is a pic from my friend Gino's 30th Birthday Party.  All the ladies got together. We have the three preggos in the back. I love my Baltimore Friends!

Good Times

Soooo, the party went great!  We had probably around 40 people show up! Band was awesome, food was plentiful and from what I could tell, everyone had enough to drink.

I will say playing hostess is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE THINGS, but it ain't as easy as it used to be and it can be tiring!  By 1:30 am I magically transformed from "Nice Tracey" to "OK IT"S BEDTIME Tracey".  Hopefully no one held it against me, but at least the keg was kicked at that point and most people had gone home anyway.

I was soo happy to see some of my friends from far away. Shout outs to Whitey, Toro, the Elwells and the Mitmans :) So happy they could all make it. It was also nice to see some friends that I haven't had a chance to hang out with for a while (HELLO SOFTBALL TEAM)  It was nice to have such a mix of friends and see everyone get along so well together.

Since I am off facebook now (longggggggggggggg story) I don't have many pics, because I didn't take any, but here is one with my BFF Lindsay.

The band was in the garage, so that is why you see the unpainted walls.

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did! I was even extra excited our new neighbors came over that just moved in across the street!

This may have been our last "house party" until baby comes, but I'm sure DH will find a way to squeeze in a couple more late nights :)

Until next time....
