OCMD 2014!

Just got back from our beach trip!

It's crazy to think just 2 years ago I was just pregnant with Emma.  Now I'm pregnant with Matthew (much, much more pregnant).

ha!

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I'll probably do an update after that, but wanted to share some pics.

All in all it was a wonderful trip!  Completely successful.  We all stayed in the same hotel this year, which was really nice to be so close, so next year I think we'll do the same, only upgrading to condos.  Hotels are nice, but it's nice to be able to close a door when baby is sleeping.

I'LL HAVE 2 KIDS BY NEXT VACAY! Heck, I'll have 2 kids in 56 days (or less)  <-- a girl can dream!

We even spent our first night away from Emma (Chris and I at the same time) and Emma got to have a sleepover at Grammy and Poppy's with Savannah and McKenna.  Judging by the pics, I'd say they had a great time.  Poor Matthew will be the odd man out....I have a feeling he'll get spoiled enough in his own time though.

Doing a rough count, there were about 33 of us in total with family and friends.  It's such a special time to have with everyone.  I know we all take it for granted, but 31 years and still going strong on this tradition!

Here are some pics.

29 Weeks

FIRST THING'S FIRST - I PASSED MY GLUCOSE TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH and I had date night on Friday.  We went to the Charleston.... Very expensive, but worth every penny!!!!

How far along? 29 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/measurements: 20Lbs
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Sleep: I use 5 - 6 pillows a night, but I think I've finally got it down.  2 softest under my head, 1 under my belly, 1-2 under my back and 1 between my legs.  It's very complicated to get in and out of though.
Best moment this week: Passing my glucose test on the first try.  This by no means, means I am eating correctly, but at least it's a positive :)  Still have a sweet tooth every day :)
Miss anything? I definitely miss having a beverage, beach week next week is gonna be tough.  I also miss moving around easily.  It's getting tougher, the bigger this belly gets.
Movement: Loads - HE NEVER STOPSSSSSSSS
Food cravings: hmmm...ice cream, cupcakes, chocolate, icing, peanut butter (to name a few)
Anything making you queasy or sick? Not right now,
Gender: BOY!
Labour signs: Not really, just a lot of braxton hicks.
Symptoms: Lots of heartburn, pelvic pain, backaches.
Belly button in or out? FLAT
Wedding rings on or off? On, but the heat is starting to get to me, where they are starting to feel tight.
Happy or moody most of the time? A bit of both!
Looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery.

Emma LOVES "sweeping", so DH let her help him vacuum. TOO CUTE!

28 weeks!

How far along? 28 Weeks and 2 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 20lbs as of today :)
Sleep: Not great.  It's so hard to get/stay comfortable.
Other symptoms: My linea negra is showing itself finally.  Also having lots of back pain and braxton hicks.  I've been getting lightheaded as well more often.  Told doc about it and it could be dehydrated, although I drink more water than anyone i know, could be baby sitting on blood vessels, could be anemia, just keeping an eye on it.
Best moment this week:  Friday - Sunday was the best span of days in a while.  We did so much as a family and so many fun activities with Emma. We went to the pool a couple times, went to the community garden dedication (and got a plot), went to a carnival, had play dates, dinner with friends, met PEPPA PIG!  I cried while we were there, I was just so happy that I was making her happy (even though she didn't really care), what can I say...pregnancy hormones.
Movement: Yes! Lots.
Food cravings:  SWEETS, SWEETS, SWEETS! We shall see how that has effected my glucose test which I just took this morning.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really think goodness
Have you started to show yet: Yes.
Gender: BOY!
Labor Signs: I don't think so, besides the braxton hicks
Belly Button in or out?  flat
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody: Happy!
Looking forward to: BEACH VACA...T-MINUS 12 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIRD TRIMESTER!

Well hello there 3rd Tri-mester!!! 89 Days to go!

Here is a comparison of beginning of third trimester with both babies. Matthew on the left and Emma on the right.

I actually think I look pretty similar in both. Maybe even a little less of a belly now? Maybe I'm just seeing things, ha! I look a lot happier in Emma's though, but the recent pic was taken at about 7am, so whatev.

This past weekend was 4th of July. We went up to the lake house and spent time with Uncle Dan and Tata Meena and Sheeba! And visited Grandma and Grandpa Moher too. We did so much fun stuff with Emma. She had her first boat ride, we had Manning's Ice Cream from the farm. Normally we go to the Montdale farm, but we had to compare. FYI, BOTH DELICIOUS! We went swimming at grandma's and loved it!!! We saw our first fireworks. Only 2 though, since she still can't make it past 7pm. Emma slept amazing and the weather was great (little cold), but still great. We took her on her first golf cart ride. It was just an all around great time for everyone. Sad thing is, I don't think we'll be up again until baby boy is born! I just don't know about 5 hour car rides in the third trimester. haha, but we'll see.

Here are some pics of our fabulous weekend!

Next week is glucose test!  Hopefully we pass the first time this pregnancy!  Then 18 DAYS TIL THE BEACH FOR A WHOLE WEEK!  I need a vacation!

Also having a couple play dates this weekend, so hopefully it should be fun :)

Until next time!

100 Days left!

O-M-G!  100 days!!!! Sounds like a lot to some, sounds like a little to me at the moment.  We will be in double digits tomorrow.

Last time I had 100 days left of pregnancy it was January, so I was the perfect temp for the cold weather. It's now late June and 80's to 90's every day, so a little less comfortable for a momma bear.

This weekend is the big room move!  I'll try to take lots of pics, but I probably wont :)  The goal is to get Emma's room completely set up and get a good start on Matthew's room.  This will give Emma lots of time to get used to her new room before she has to get used to her new brother!

My mom and dad are coming down to help out.  Mom will be watching Emma while dad and I and Chris will be working on the rooms.

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before but I have CRAZY dreams almost every night that are very vivid and I normally remember.   Last night I had a dream that Matthew was kicking so hard, I could see his whole leg.  It was weird and gross and a bad dream, but crazy all the same.

Kind of excited for tomorrow.  I"m going to my first MOMMY MEETUP!  I absolutely love meeting new people and joining things.  So I decided to give this group a try and they have a million meetups for different things.  Tomorrow is called Baby Talk at the mall.  I have no idea what to expect, but there are 5 other moms going and by reading their profiles, at least 2 of them have kids within 2 months of Emma.  I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I'm very optimistic.

When I first moved to baltimore I joined "girls in the city" and "junior league".  Both good expereiences in their own right.  Then I joined kickball and softball and decided those were where my time was best spent.

Then next weekend is already 4th of July!  Where are the days going?  ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Tonight I'm meeting up with my girlfriend for dinner at her house.  1 pro about being the pregnant one is people normally ask you what you are craving, then they make it for you, case in point, tonight I get to have one of her DELICIOUS QUICHES!  I can not wait.

Another exciting piece of news is Emma can say more in sign language.  I'm actually not a HUGE fan of baby sign language.  Maybe I'm old school, but I just like them to go right to talking, but it is SOOOO CUTE!  Whenever she's in her chair, we say MORE?  and do the sign, and she does it back when she wants more.  I love it.

She has another ear infection, which isn't a good thing, but at least it gives an explanation to the coughing ALL NIGHT for the past week. Hoping the antibiotics kick in and this kid kicks this thing once and for all!  We have been going to the pool a few times and she loves the baby pool.  It is so fun to see her laugh and smile, but so scary when she wants to walk in the water by herself.

25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks and 2 days Total weight gain: 16 lbs at my last appt about a week ago. With matthew I had gained 23 lbs at this poin...
